To assure a high quality harvest, The Vignobles Pelvillain favour very strict methods of culture.
The closest care is brought to vineyards at every stage of the vegetative cycle in order to obtain a healthy grape and of the required maturity.
The wine-making methods, using the best environmental treatments, are based on a rigorous control of the grape production, a systematic grassing of vineyards and in the selection of the bunches of grapes on foot to improve the quality of our wines.
The experience and the observation of the specificity of soils, climatic hazards, and various stages of vegetation, allow us to develop fine fragmented selections.
The harvest is almost completely mechanized
In order to maintain an average production of 3 000 hectoliters, the Vignobles Pelvillain have acquired accurate equipment such as high quality vats, control of temperatures, draining equipment, destemming, etc. … Both wine storehouses have modern equipment fitted to the wines’ profiles.
While keeping a continuous quality improvement system, our philosophy remains respectful of the tradition.
Our quality requirement is shared by a large number of professionals and rewarded in various challenges whether regional (Mâcon, Toulouse, Blaye-Bourg), national (Vignerons Indépendants, Féminalise), or international (Decanter, International Vinalies). Our wines are often selected and rated in specialised magazines such as Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator, as well as Guide Hachette and Guide des vins de France.
